I managed to get everything somewhat put away and straightened up on Friday. On Saturday we needed to go to WalMart to pick up my grandsons contacts and return some t-shirts. He had managed to buy boys sizes and needed to exchange them for mens. We took Cowboy and he immediately wanted to come home. Did not looking or shopping. Just there, quick pickups and exchanges and back home.
I think Cowboy knows who our grandson is but he interacted very little. He did try to get him to do something a couple of times and approached like he was telling some young soldier to "get with it". It didn't work very well.
We enjoyed his visit and he was a big help but mercy, I had forgotten how much a young man needs to eat. Ran out of everything and ended up going back to the store on Friday.
Today we took him to the train station which is about 45 minutes from home. Turns out his train was running an hour late. I have a feeling these Amtrak guys rarely run on time. I left him there and came on home. The station was closed, it was very warm and I couldn't see exposing Cowboy to all of it and him getting over tired.
It feels good to be done with the work on the house, to have sent my grandson home and to just relax. It is 6 PM and I still haven't finished the paper but I will do so before the day is out.
