The band met Tuesday at our bandmembers house who broke his hip and practiced for an hour and a half. He was so glad to see us and really enjoyed doing it. It amazes me that someone can break their hip on a Sunday and a little over a week later be up and about and playing his guitar. He said his incision was only 5 inches and he felt fine with no pain. amazing
I got all the frames on the wall and arranged to where they look nice. Now I will take them down one at a time and put the pictures in them. I suspect this is going to take a spell. Maybe weeks. I have to brag that just about every frame on the wall was purchased at 1/2 off or off of a clearance table or dug out of storage. They are all black with white mats. I think it is going to look cool.
Yesterday Tracy came and I went to do errands. I went to Ulta to replenish some make up items, to Stein Mart to purchase a throw for my lovely new living room decor, to lunch at Carls, to Pier One where I got a candle display for the dining table, to the liquor store and then to the grocery store. Given how far apart they all were I did good to get it all done in the 6 hours I had. I always feel a little rushed and am constantly figuring out how much time I have and how to make it work out so I am home in the allotted amount of time. That in itself is stressful.
There are those who wonder why I am trying to take on projects at this particular time. It is hard to explain but it keeps my mind busy and pondering on things other than the concerns I have for Cowboy. It keeps my time occupied. Staying in all the time is sometimes really hard. I consider it a form of therapy. As long as I don't overdo it and impose deadlines on any of it is it actually good for me.
Today was nice. We never left the house. I cooked a good breakfast, read the paper, finished the frame hanging, made lunch, took a nap and then sat with Cowboy and read some periodicals. I made a batch of ribs, one of his favorite things, and he ate well tonight. He went to bed about 7:30 and I may just read for an hour or two before turning in.
My hand is really hurting and I made an appointment to see about it. Not sure if it is part of the nerve problem, arthritis or maybe carpal tunnel. Guess the doc can figure it out. Now I am trying to run someone down to sit with Cowboy and someone else to take me to the Dr. If they do a cortisone epidural which is possible, I will need someone to drive me home. Am working on it.
