Sunday, July 1

We went to the podiatrist Wednesday.  Cowboy had a corn recently but he also has some spots on his feet that seem raw.  The doc said he needed to get out of the cowboy boots and into some shoes.  We coaxed him by telling him he can still wear his boots when he goes to dinner and such.  It will take a few days to get the shoes and it is going to be interesting to see how this goes.

Thursday we took the dog to the groomer.  I was going to take Cowboy with me to do an errand or two but he wet his pants so we headed back home.  After we got him changed and let him rest I took him with me and we went to Home Depot to get some rubber things to put under the furniture so it wont't slide along the floor.  Then I took him to McAlisters for a baked potato and me a salad.  He ate it all.  Back to pick up the dog and home.

Friday we played at another day care.  I took Cowboy with me and he sat there quietly.  The audience, made up of folks with dementia were having a great time.  Cowboy was very quiet but I think he enjoyed it nonetheless.

I have been working on some things like pillows and covers for the bar stools and about have it done.  The planets continue to be out of alignment.  The trim came out crooked and looks less than professional.  I took part of it out and did it over but it still isn't completely straight.  I hope the pillow police don't show up at my house!

I had a handyman come by on Saturday and put up the cornices and help me with the screws on the bar stools.  He also cleaned the vent on the dryer.  My handyman list is finished for now.

and then, yesterday the microwave quit.  It's not like we can't get along without it but I am used to doing lots of things.  This morning Cowboy asked for more coffee long after the pot had shut off.  My usual response is to stick it in the microwave.  No more coffee for him this morning.  He had already had two cups which is enough so not a biggy.  Guess will find out next week whether we can repair it or will have to buy a new one.
