Sunday, December 30

I had planned to take the dog yesterday but got a call that Cowboy had fell and also had a cough and maybe a cold.  Headed on over without the dog. As usual he had not hurt himself when he fell but is really frustrates him.   The cough does seem different than the one he has had forever and he seems more "stopped up".  They ordered an xray and urinalsis and are keeping a close watch on him.  He doesn't seem very chipper today and slept most of the time I was there.

There was a shirt on his bed that did not belong to him to I looked through his closet and found two more shirts and two pair of pants that were not his.  The name on them started with the same three letters as his name but the rest of the name was completely different.  I suspect they take a quick look at the first couple of letters and that's how it happened.  I am sure it will sort itself out.

I called and checked on him last night and he was doing OK.

This morning I took the dog with me and made another visit.  He is not feeling well and seemed really out of it.  He had wet his bed and then the next time he needed to go to the bathroom it took two of the aides to help him get to the bathroom.  He seems weak.  He did not eat his lunch so they brought him some soup and juice and he drank a little of it.  They told me the xray and the other tests came back normal so they were giving him Claritin and some cough syrup.  I told them he has had this cough forever and also the post nasal drip but it does seem worse.

The dog was a real pain driving over today.  She barked and whined and wouldn't settle down.  She was so excited to see Cowboy and immediately got up on his lap. then she got back down and was barking and pacing around.  She didn't seem all that glad to be there.   Coming home she slept the whole way.

I am taking the car in tomorrow morning for a part that had to be ordered.  A few weeks ago I clipped a fawn on the road and it knocked out a small grill that fits around the fog light.

Talked to Cowboy's youngest daughter and she is planning on coming down on Wednesday and staying overnight.  It would be great if we could check him out but they won't allow that until after the first 30 days adjustment period.
