I forgot the funniest thing that happened yesterday. I had a handful of mail to drop off and wanted to use the box because there were some checks in them. Got to the mailbox and there was this car parked there. Next I saw a lady at the back of the car in houseshoes and a very flimsy rode and gown on. Her hair was sticking up all over.
She walks over to my car and about that time I see another lady similarly dressed come around the corner of the car. She tells me the mailbox is overflowing and they were going to go find another one. Did I want to give them my mail? Nice gesture but no thanks. I was really needing to get going so I drove off. (amazing and it was a bit chilly out) It was about 9:15AM.
This morning I took Cowboy and got him a haircut. We then drove to the town where the nursing facility was. It was clear blue skies today with an expected high of 80 so a perfect day to get him out for a drive. I needed to try to find a recliner for him.
We went to a furniture store going out of business on mail street. He wanted to go in and look so in we went. There were ramps everywhere but he did OK. He insisted on leather, as always, and I picked out a nice taupe one that I thought would work with any decor. He didn't like it. He found another that was kind of dark brownish burgundy. Both were very nice and marked off about 70% so we got a really good deal. It was a nice store. Too bad. Looked like their store was one of the anchor stores on the main street of town. I think Rooms to Go may be taking over the world and their stuff is mostly made in China.
On the way home, got a call from the Dr. and told to pick up the fax I had dropped off. Then the home called and said the history and physical was from June and would not do. Need the current one. She told me if we don't get this done this week it will be after the first of the year. Not sure why but got the impression everyone that approves anything must be taking the holiday off. She asked me to get one from Friday and asked if we could come tomorrow for an interview and to bring it with us.
We stopped back by the Dr. office and I got it done.
Left this morning at 8:30. Got home at 3. Cowboy is tired. Still haven't bought a laundry marking pen.
