Sunday, July 28

On Thursday I took a banjo player that lives in our neighborhood and his wife with me and went to the home.  He had a good audience as well.  These guys really seem to benefit from music.  There was one fellow that was once a square dance caller and he was trying to call on some of the tunes.  There was another resident that tapped his foot the whole time and another that clapped enthusiastically after every song.  We are going to do this again !

Had to go for a follow up mammogram on Friday morning.  Was way late calling me.  Took the whole morning.  The Dr. came in after checking the film and said the spot in my breast is not any bigger than last time and doesn't think it is anything to worry about.  Have to go back in six months so they can keep an eye on it.

I went back to the home on Saturday.  Had lunch with Cowboy and we watched an old black and white movie.    He wouldn't let me have his dentures for me to check them.  Generally he was "somewhere else" today.

I stopped back by the mall to take a walk.  It is hard to find time when it is cool enough right now.  Topping 100 most days.  Got in about 20 minutes and then got distracted shopping.  Found some really comfy walking shorts and a pretty dressy blouse which will be good for my upcoming trip.

I got up this morning and took a ride on the bicycle.  I feel very unsure and unsteady but it was better today than last week.  Nice and cloudy and relatively cool.

Today I am doing laundry, changed the bed, enjoying the paper and starting to gather up some things so I can be sure I have what I need for the trip.  I have more clothes than anybody ought to own but everything is quite casual.  We just don't dress up around here.

I have decided to go take in a movie.  The last time I was at the movies in a theatre was for True Grit.  Must have been 3 years ago or more.  Feeling antsy, need to get out.  I need a few groceries so can stop by WalMart after the movie and be home way before dark.
