I went to see Cowboy Sunday and he was in good spirits so I feel a little better. According to the regular floor nurse he is taking his medicine and eating, etc. He also had just had a bath and clean clothes so he was feeling and looking good.
On Monday I met with our ladies group and enjoyed pizza and a movie, "Quartet". It was wonderful. We all chuckled and laughed and shook our heads. Good time.
Tuesday I went to the store and went to the Emergency Management Committee, Resident Education, subcommittee meeting. I am in the process of helping them build a data base of all the people who have taken CPR and/or First Aid so we can notify those that are over two years to sign up again. We have working on this program since 2009. It is amazing how time flies. 4 years. hundreds of people....
I continue to feel less than wonderful. Think the mold count, the heat, etc is just a bummer. I stayed in bed this morning until 9 again.
I went over to see Cowboy again yesterday. He didn't know how long it had been since I had been there but was happy to see me. We talked and watched "Walker, Texas Ranger" and then I had a meeting with some of the staff. I pointed out to them that his teeth are still not getting cleaned regularly and also that I wanted him scheduled for a cleaning. I just don't thing\k this stuff is on their radar. An awful lot of these folks have no teeth so I guess it is a challenge to remember, etc.
I went back to see Cowboy and he was taking his disposable shorts off and putting on his regular shorts. I think they put him in them every time he has an accident and every time they are not looking he takes them off. Interestingly he has hardly any undershorts in his drawer. What is happening to them? Time to buy some more.
Today I worked on the data base some more. Probably have 20 hours or so in it at this point. I also went and picked up the Maserati. Everything mechanical has been checked and fixed as required except the sensors for the ABS. Not essential, not going to worry about it. It is now parked in the garage ! Next step is a good detailing to clean it up.
I got a second quote today for a pergola for the patio. Not sure what I might do on that. It would cool it off considerably but not cheap.
Talked to my upstate New York daughter about my trip to see her and the family. Am really excited. It has been 4 years. We are talking about 4 days in New York City but don't have all our plans nailed down yet.
Tomorrow the band is playing at a church where they have an elder day care. I also have a date to play at the VA on the 24th and a plan to have a banjo player there sometime this month. These guys just love having entertainment come in.
